2013, 73-42 WVU loss
The 2013 season was the most disappointing of any in the Dana Holgorsen era. Even though the 2012 season ended with a sour note, despite the Mountaineers riding high and beating Baylor, 2013 was the only time the team did not make a bowl game under their new coach.
The game was another high-flying offensive affair with the Bears ending up with the last laugh (and more than 70 points) to up the ante over the season before. West Virginia finished that year with a record of 4-8 and Baylor eventually finished 11-2 with one of the losses coming to UCF in the Fiesta Bowl.
In this game, Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty thrived while Clint Trickett struggled. Baylor put up an impressive 396 yards through the air and an even more astounding 476 yards on the ground.
