4 best games between Baylor and WVU football
2014, 41-27 WVU win
The 2014 game ended up being one of the biggest in WVU football history. The Bears entered ranked as the No. 4 team in the nation. The Mountaineers came away with a resounding victory at home.
The passing attack really stood out in this one with quarterback Clint Trickett having one of the best games in his WVU football career. The transfer from Florida State had 322 passing yards and completed 23 of 35 passes. Kevin White, now with the Chicago Bears, made some of his trademarked unbelievable catches and finished with eight snags for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
The win was part of a string of four-straight wins for the Mountaineers, though they would lose three-in-a-row later in the year. The Mountaineers finished at 7-6 with a loss to Texas A&M in the Liberty Bowl.
