Jordyn Brooks

Jordyn Brooks is Texas Tech’s best linebacker. Last week against Kansas, he led the team with 10 tackles. He is used to being the tackling leader on the team as he has multiple games with double-digit tackles this season.

He is only a sophomore but used his experience from playing a lot as a freshman into earning a better role this year. He was the first freshman in Red Raiders history to lead the team in tackles since the program has been a part of the Big 12 Conference.

This year, Brooks has 42 tackles on the year. He picked off two passes against Houston, a signature win for the team so far. Brooks will be keeping his eye on Will Grier all day, so he can’t be misfiring as much as he did against TCU.
