There are four new players on the West Virginia basketball team this season.

Not much is really known about these four guys, but they all have a chance to help West Virginia win a coveted national championship. That’s been the goal for head coach Bob Huggins since he arrived on campus back in 2007.

He has come close, with the Final Four run in 2010 and with several other NCAA Tournament appearances. Right now, just making the Big Dance is not enough. The expectation is a chance to make the Final Four and it is certain that is what Huggins stresses to his new players.

This year’s new players are Teddy Allen, Wesley Harris, D’Angelo Hunter and Brandon Knapper. They all bring something to the table, but they must also compete with the Mountaineers who have already established themselves on the team.

There is a lot to look forward to this year and in the coming seasons for the West Virginia basketball team. If the Mountaineers win a national title soon, it will be because of the contributions of their new players for the 2017-18 season.

Here is a look at these top newcomers joining West Virginia this year.
