SOUSSE, TUNISIA – JUNE 24: A man waits outised a haunted house ride at a tourist amusement park on June 24, 2016 in Sousse, Tunisia. Before the 2011 revolution, tourism in Tunisia accounted for approximately 7% of the countries GDP. The two 2015 terrorist attacks at the Bardo Museum and Sousse Beach saw tourism numbers plummet even further forcing hotels to close and many tourism and hospitality workers to lose their jobs. Haunted places

Halloween is right around the corner, so football fans who want to be spooked by something other than the WVU football defense can check out a number of scary places in the state of West Virginia.

Point Pleasant is home to the Mothman and all the stories that come with him, such as the mysterious collapse of a bridge around Christmas. There is a Mothman museum in Point Pleasant, as well as a statue in town. Each year, there is also a Mothman Festival.

Closer to Morgantown is the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. It is located in Weston and is open for tours that touch on the paranormal and dark history of the large structure.

A similar place to the lunatic asylum is the Moundsville Penitentiary, which claims it is where history meets mystery. So there are many possibilities for a scare this weekend, too.
