Peyton Bender

Peyton Bender is the starting quarterback for Kansas and he will be looking to throw the ball deep against the Mountaineers. Last week against OU, he had 343 yards on 30 of 47 passes.

Bender has completed 85 of 146 passes this season for a total of 1,030 yards and six touchdowns. He is solid at his position, he just needs to be able to get the ball into the hands of his speedy receivers.

The WVU football team will have to apply pressure in the backfield and disrupt his passes. Bender has been tackled 11 times this season, mostly all coming in the backfield. He doesn’t attempt to run all that often, for good reason.

Bender has a minus-58 rushing yards on the season. The offensive line for Kansas must be in disarray because he seems to be getting manhandled back there. When Bender has time to set his feet and fire away, he’ll probably be right on the money with his passes.
