The WVU football team will walk into Lawrence, Kansas on Saturday as a 21-point favorite over the Jayhawks.

The Mountaineers should have no problem beating Kansas and notching their first Big 12 Conference victory of the season to improve to 3-1. But the betting odds may be in the favor of the WVU football team, though some other factors may be stacked against the Mountaineers.

There are some players on the Jayhawks who really could disrupt the flow of West Virginia, both on offense and defense. In his weekly press conference, WVU football head coach Dana Holgorsen addressed some of the Jayhawks’ top weapons. The players he mentioned will be profiled in the following slides.

However, some of the players he didn’t mention could rise to the occasion and make things happen. That’s what Holgorsen was scared of in his press conference. The record and overall pedigree of the Kansas football program may not project a high rating, but they are still a Division I club with some of the best football talent in the country.

According to WVUsports.com, Holgorsen said, “I hate singling out a few of them because if I didn’t mention them, it’s going to give that specific kid motivation to play well. But there are some guys that really stand out.”

The following are some of the guys that really do stand out for the Kansas Jayhawks.
