1993, 14-13 WVU win
This game received 7-percent of the vote on our Twitter poll. It was an important game as the WVU football team was en route to an undefeated regular season. It was the fourth game of the season and the Mountaineers pulled away with a 14-13 victory.
The Mountaineers had just one touchdown in the game. It came at just the right time as Rodney Woodard pounded in from 1-yard out with just over six minutes remaining in regulation. The defense held and the Mountaineers escaped.
The earlier scores by West Virginia came from a safety and a pair of field goals by future NFL standout. Todd Sauerbrun.
