Big 12 Conference will go undefeated in Week 1

Eastern Washington vs. Texas Tech

The Texas Tech defense has been like a slice of swiss cheese. If the Red Raiders got any better in the offseason, the defensive strength will need to be on its game against Eastern Washington.

Even though it’s a program from the FCS ranks, the Red Raiders cannot take EWU lightly. Texas Tech needs to make a statement and it would quiet the retractors by pitching a shut out.

Meanwhile, the Red Raiders will be looking to build on last year’s strong offense. A lot of points will equal a large donation to Hurricane Harvey relief, according to the Dallas News.

Last year, Eastern Washington went12-2 and 8-0 in conference to finish first in the Big Sky. Texas Tech went 5-7 and 3-6 in conference to finish sixth in the Big 12.

Prediction: Texas Tech 40, Eastern Washington 0.
