Big 12 Conference will go undefeated in Week 1

Texas El Paso vs. Oklahoma

UTEP is not really a Conference USA powerhouse, but the Oklahoma Sooners are definitely a perennial power in the Big 12. A solid preseason ranking keeps the expectations high in Norman.

The Sooners also have a new coach and Lincoln Riley will look to maintain the momentum former head coach Bob Stoops built when he was in charge. The Sooners have said it has been an easy transition and facing UTEP will help ease the transition even more.

Last year, UTEP went 4-8 and 2-6 in conference to finish fifth in C-USA. OU went 11-2 and 9-0 in conference to finish first in the Big 12.

Prediction: Oklahoma 52, UTEP 3.
