Wyatt Teller

Wyatt Teller is one of the most talked about guards in the country. He stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 315 pounds, so just looking at him, he is bigger than most other offensive lineman.

On top of his physically imposing stature, Teller has a lighter side. It’s a quirky personality that was depicted in a recent Roanoke.com story by Andy Bitter. Teller came into a recent media session sporting a 1980s style mullet and he was holding a meat tenderizer.

“It’s to pound it out,” Teller told the publication. “It is something to symbolize how hard we’re working.”

It’s that kind of attitude that, for one, makes college football fun. Having an attitude and an edge sets you apart from the competition.

Teller leads a strong offensive line that includes other standouts Eric Gallo, Yosuah Nijman, Kyle Chung and Braxton Pfaff. The Hokies put up a total of 445.7 yards per game last year. The offense also only averaged a total of 47.6 penalty yards per year, which means the offensive line is good at holding blocks, not holding the defense. The offensive line also doesn’t jump offsides as much either.
