5 best Big 12 defensive players against WVU
Ogbonnia Okoronkwo
He will be a household name across the country at some point this season. Ogbonnia Okoronkwo is a senior linebacker at Oklahoma. His 13 career sacks are fourth-most by an OU defender all time. He will be the sole leader by the end of the 2017 campaign.
Okoronkwo had nine sacks last season, alone. At 6-1, 240 pounds, Okoronkwo possess average size, but he comes rumbling through the offensive line like a bowling ball.

Last year against West Virginia, Okoronkwo had seven total tackles in the Sooners’ 56-28 victory at Milan Puskar Stadium.
According to SI.com, he is the No. 88 player in the country. The website said, “In his second year as a starter, Okoronkwo should shine as the headliner of one of the Big 12’s top linebacking corps. His ability to harass opposing quarterbacks could be the difference between Oklahoma earning its second College Football Playoff berth and falling short in favor of another high-scoring outfit from the Big 12, like rival Oklahoma State.”
Oklahoma may have the best defense in the conference this season. Okoronkwo is a big reason why that is possible.
