Dylan Tonkery

Dylan Tonkery is somewhat of a legacy with the WVU football team. His older brother, Wes, was a fan favorite during his playing days with the Mountaineers. Wes was a linebacker at West Virginia from 2011-14.

The younger brother shares some of the same qualities as the older brother. Dylan Tonkery is 6-foot, 222 pounds as a redshirt freshman. He is getting bigger and quicker, so his skillset will transfer over to the playing field nicely.

In high school, Tonkery recorded 72 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles and two interceptions as he helped Bridgeport to three state championships. His future is obviously on the defensive side of the ball, but Tonkery was a bruiser at running back for the Indians.

He rushed for 3,401 yards on 378 carries with 40 touchdowns in just two seasons at running back.
