WVU basketball is set to take on Gonzaga in Thursday’s Sweet 16 match-up with hopes of knocking off the No. 1-seeded Bulldogs from the West Region.

After convincing wins against Bucknell and Notre Dame to open the NCAA Tournament, the ‘Eers are oozing confidence. Esa Ahmad is budding into a star. Shots are falling from deep, thanks to Jevon Carter, Tarik Phillip and Lamont West. The vaunted press Bob Huggins’ deploys is causing opponent’s fits – even their half-court sets are haunting for opponents. And different players are stepping up seemingly every game. For this March Madness run to continue, WVU must amp-up their already stellar play.
