For WVU Basketball, Big Monday was almost a record-setting win at Phog Allen Fieldhouse to place the ‘Eers in unmatched territory. Instead, Kansas made an unbelievable comeback playing West Virginia’s style of defense in the waning minutes.

The Kansas Jayhawk fans broke a Guinness world record while their team blitzed past the Mountaineers in overtime. I’m hesitant to give Kansas all the credit though, due to an absurd number of West Virginia turnovers late. Devonte Graham chipped in for Kansas down the stretch, but an entire team effort was needed to pull off the comeback. I appreciate Esa Ahmad showing up and having a good game, but his recent up-and-down play isn’t exactly a confidence builder; he’s definitely got NBA-talent, though.
