WVU Football: Most Electrictrifying Players Since 2000

Adam “Pacman” Jones, Defensive Back – Jersey No. 9 (2001-2004)
No list is complete without a little controversy: Enter Adam “Pacman” Jones.
The 2-star (Rivals.com) Atlanta, Georgia product pledged his commitment to the Mountaineers without much notice from outsiders. This was OK for one reason; they’d learn his name.
Jones played defensive back and quickly made a name for himself in Morgantown, earning a starting spot his sophomore season. He was routinely at the top of the team’s tackle list, and even played sparingly on offense – both running and receiving. Jones was no stranger to returning punts and kicks, either. For his career, he totaled 1,879 return yards.
What Pacman lacked in size and stature (only 5’10”, 190 lbs), he made up for with heart and great intensity. He often followed a team’s No. 1 weapon all over the field, even if that player was a 6’5″ tight end. This toughness and versatility helped him moving forward, as Jones was drafted 6th overall by the Tennessee Titans in 2005. He currently plays for the Cincinnati Bengals.
