Noel Devine, Running Back – Jersey No. 7 (2007-2010)

Noel Devine was a 5-star recruit (Rivals.com) from North Fort Myers, Florida that committed to the program on March 30, 2007. He chose the ‘Eers over the likes of Alabama, Florida and Florida State, among others. He was the No. 1 all-purpose back in the country, and the third best player from the state of Florida coming out of high school.

During his time in Morgantown, Devine piled up the highlights.

After splitting time with Steve Slaton his freshman season, he became the full-time starter as a sophomore, leading the team in rushing with 1,289 yards. This total would grow to 1,465 yards the following season, where he was the focal point of the offense after Pat White’s departure. He scored 13 touchdowns that year, and totaled 29 for his career.

Devine ranks 3rd on WVU’s career rushing list with 4,315 yards. That total is also good enough to place him 4th all-time on the Big East’s rushing list.
