No. 4 Daikiel Shorts

Projected yards: 345

Projected receptions: 36

Average per catch: 9.5

Daikiel Shorts was the top WVU receiver a year ago, in terms of reception numbers. QB Skyler Howard found him a lot, all over the field. Shorts’ sure hands and ability to body up his defender made him an easy target. His production may slip this year, but that’s not a reflection on his personal game. He will still be valuable in many different ways, other receivers will just start to reach their full potential. Shorts will likely be the best wide receiver in short yardage situations.

Last season, Shorts had 528 receiving yards on 45 receptions. That’s an average of 11.7 yards per catch.
