Karl Joseph has seen his draft stock rise, even after missing most of his senior season.

Despite an early-season injury, Joesph’s performance at WVU in his previous three years spoke for itself. He was one of the most-talked about players in Week 1 and he’s receiving that same hype just a few weeks before the NFL Draft.

It’s Joseph’s pure athleticism that vaults him to the top of the list. He possesses and amazing ability to get to the ball and, well, possess it. Joseph had five interceptions in his senior season before falling victim to a knee injury before the Mountaineers’ fifth game of the season.

The injury does not seem to have hindered his draft stock. In fact, scouts are raving about his ability to bounce back and regain the strength he had before he went down.

Over at FanSided’s “Just Blog Baby,” Nick Hjeltness depicts some more notable plays in Joseph’s stellar West Virginia career.

The videos show Joesph doing what he does best: getting to the ball, whether it is in the backfield or the secondary. Joesph flies around all over the field and disrupts the offense.

So, it’s obvious that Raiders fans want a piece of Joseph, but so do the Pittsburgh Steelers.

On Monday, Joseph had a meeting with Steelers in Pittsburgh with other prospects Ken Cawley, Cyrus Jones, Dadi Nicholas, Justin Simmons, Sean Davis and Robert Nkemdiche.

A franchise that’s always been predicated on defense, the Steelers could use a leg up in the secondary after the retirement of future Hall of Famer Troy Polamalu two years ago.

Joseph fits that bill of tenacity perfectly. Only thing, Joseph may not last that long for Pittsburgh. With the way Joseph is climbing up the mock draft boards, he could very easily be a Top 15 draft pick.
