Status: Wendell Smallwood would not have forgone his senior season at West Virginia if he did not like his chances to be drafted to the NFL. His junior rushing numbers, which led the Big 12 Conference, are enough to get him selected. He has likely improved on his draft position this offseason with a strong showing at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis and the WVU Pro Day in Morgantown. He could be picked between the third and fifth round.
