Drawing fouls

Eight of Williams’ 18 points came from the foul line. He was 8 of 12 from the charity stripe and, as a team, the Mountaineers were 15 of 25.

Conversely, TCU went to the foul line 29 times, and made 23 of its attempts.

Williams is already one of the best free throw shooters on the team, making 68-percent of his attempts. If he is able to battle inside and draw fouls, he’ll get a chance for those ‘freebies’ at the line.

Those extra points will be huge for the WVU basketball team through tournament play.
