Lost on the boards

One area where the Mountaineers were defeated on Saturday was on the glass.

The Bears held a 41-34 rebounding advantage over the Mountaineers.

Surprisingly, that didn’t concern Huggins. Though he feels his WVU basketball team executed the tactic perfectly.

“The rebounding deal was skewed because we didn’t want to foul at the end and they were getting two or three rebounds per possession when we were trying not to foul,” explained Huggins.

In another uncharacteristic statistic, Baylor (27) committed more fouls than the Mountaineers (21).
