SKINNY: After one year at the JuCo level, Avery helped his team to a No. 14 national ranking. He led his team with five interceptions and also had five pass breakups. In high school, he was the No. 12 safety in the country. With the Mountaineers, he can help shore up a secondary that was hurt mightily with departures.
