Fan support

Much of Morgantown was under a blanket of white on Tuesday. The winter conditions, coupled with already bad rush hour driving, made for a mess getting to the WVU Coliseum.

Fans coming from other parts of the state had trouble getting to Morgantown. For students already on campus, they used their best mode of transportation to get across town.

Their feet.

There were many empty seats when the game tipped off at 7 p.m. but the lower student section was packed to the brim, as it was when the gates opened two hours earlier.

The students were loud and proud and even gained recognition from ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.

Momentum certainly is on WVU’s side right now. It’s just too bad the Mountaineers can’t take thousands of students with them to Oklahoma on Saturday.
