No. 8 Ira Rodgers

Ira Rodgers came to WVU in 1915 and played fullback before being a quarterback. He threw for 11 touchdowns as a senior, a mark untouched almost anywhere in the nation.

He was the team’s first All-American and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1953.
