No. 49 Chad Johnston

Quarterback Chad Johnston led the 1993 Mountaineers to an undefeated regular season as a freshman. His breakout year came two years later.

In 1995, he completed 127 of 248 passes for 2,019 yards. In 1996, he completed 167 passes on 334 attempts.

Overall, Johnston’s career numbers rank No. 7 all-time for quarterbacks with 5,664 passing yards.
