Game 24: 2012 vs. Oklahoma
This is the lone loss on the list of Top 30 West Virginia football games. It was still the most impressive performance ever by a WVU player at Mountaineer Field.
Tavon Austin set new record left and right, the same directions he used all over the field, to wear out the Oklahoma defense. In the end, the Sooners pulled off a 50-49 overtime victory, but head coach Bob Stooops and his staff are still having nightmares of Austin.
Austin rushed for a school-record 344 yards and set a Big 12 record with 572 all-purpose yards. The Sooners surrendered a total of 778 yards to the Mountaineers which is the most they have ever given up in program history.
