Game 27: 1981 vs. Florida

The Mountaineers blitzed the Gators all night in the 1981 Peach Bowl. Florida finished with neagtive-30 yards rushing and WVU picked off a pair of passes in the process.

Meanwhile, Paul Woodside connected on four field goals and quarterback Oliver Luck went 14 of 23 through the air for 107 yards and a touchdown.

This is the only victory the Mountaineers have over Florida. They are 1-1 in the all-time series. The Gators’ win came in the 1997 Gator Bowl.
