Game 10: 1956 vs. Texas

Larry Krutko scored on a 15-yard run to give the Mountaineers their lone touchdown in a 7-6 win over Texas on Oct. 6, 1956.

The WVU defense won this game, though.

West Virginia had to make two goal line stands to keep the Longhorns off the board. Despite one touchdown coming on a manufactured drive, Texas had first downs inside the Mountaineers 5-yard line and left empty-handed.
