Game 14: 2004 vs. Maryland

Chris Henry, may he rest in peace, provided one of top catches in program history on Sept. 18, 2004. A 7-yard pitch-and-catch from Rasheed Marshall to Henry, who played in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals before his death in 2009, lifted the Mountaineers to a 19-16 win over the Terrapins in overtime.

The decisive touchdown was in response to Nick Novak’s 33-yard field goal.

WVU was No. 6 at the time, while Maryland was No. 21. The win snapped a four-game losing streak against the rival Terrapins. Kay-Jay Harris helped lead the way with 142 yards and Marshall finished with 132 passing yards.
