Game 20: 1975 vs. NC State

This is the third Peach Bowl on the Top 30 list. The 13-10 win by the Mountaineers in the 1975 Peach Bowl avenged a loss to the Wolfpack in the 1972 Peach Bowl.

NC State was controlling the game early, but no team gained a clear advantage in the third quarter. The Mountaineers finally got the momentum, which secured the win, when Dan Kendra hit Scott MacDonald for a 50-yard fourth quarter touchdown.

Kendra also found Artie Owens for a 39-yard score earlier in the game. Kendra won MVP honors after going for 202 passing yards.
