Guard Alex Ruoff

Alex Ruoff was one of the most reliable players for the Mountaineers when Bob Huggins took over the program in 2007. Ruoff started in 37 games in the 2008 season.

Ruoff attempted 239 3-pointers in 2008; 236 3-pointers in 2009 and 205 3-pointers in 2007. He is the only player to appear three times on the Top 10 list of 3-pointers attempted. His 695 3-pointers attempted over his career are the most all-time by a Mountaineer. In turn, he also holds the school record in 3-pointers made with 261.

He wasn’t a selfish player by any means as Ruoff’s 191 assists in 2007 are fourth-most all-time.

Ruoff’s basketball career is still ongoing. He currently plays professional in Spain and has played overseas for the past six years.
