Forward Kevin Pittsnogle

Kevin Pittsnogle may be the only college basketball player whose name turned into a verb. “You Just Got Pittsnogled” was a phrase that swept the nation in 2005. As West Virginia advanced to the Elite Eight, Pittsnogle’s 6-foot-11 frame was well-noticed. Not in the post, though. Rather, from behind-the-arc.

Pittsnogle was a deadly 3-point shooter and had the ability to sink clutch deep balls with a hand in his face.

He has 1,708 career points and also helped the Mountaineer get to the Sweet 16 in 2006.

Pittsnogle signed a free agent deal with the Boston Celtics. He eventually played with the D-League Austin Toros and a couple of other American professional teams.
