No. 7 – Chad Johnston
Chad Johnston played for the Mountaineers in the lat 1990s when defense was the name of the game in Morgantown. And although his career ended in aGator Bowl loss to North Carolina, headlined by four turnovers, Johnston had a noteworthy tenure under center.
Johnston is No. 5 in pass attempts (839), No. 6 in pass completions (428), No. 5 in touchdown passes (43) and compiled a 31-17 record while at WVU. That included the 11-win, undefeated regular season of 1993, though Johnson was just the back up quarterback.
He still resides in Morgantown and isemployed as a dermatologist.
