The Bears are looking to fill the shoes of Brandon Marshall who left the team and joined the New York Jets. The quarterback position is not certain as Jay Cutler may or may not be the man in the windy city. Regardless, who ever the signal caller may be White will be a weapon in his arsenal.

White spent two seasons at West Virginia and during his two-year span he amassed 144 receptions for 1,954-yards and 15 total touchdowns.

White will be a great tool in the Bears’ offense and will add a lot of fire power to a team that lost one of the best receivers the NFL has seen in recent seasons.

White, with a beaming smile, expressed how grateful he was to be selected by the organization and have the opportunity to play in the NFL.

“Hopefully I’ll be a star,” White said during his interview after he was drafted. “I’m just ready to get started.”

It seems fitting that White was selected by the Bears and walked across the stage in Chicago where the draft is taking place. As the hometown team, many Bears’ fans were in attendance and it gave White a small taste of the Bears’ faithful that will be cheering him on all season long.

A humble, but confident player, White’s journey in the NFL begins now.
