West Virginia Basketball: Huggins Named National Coach of the Year

West Virginia head basketball coach Bob Huggins was named the 2015 Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year award. It was announced on April 3 in Indianapolis.

This season Huggins led the Mountaineers to a 25-10 overall recored. West Virginia returned to the NCAA tournament this past season and made it to the Sweet 16 before falling to Kentucky in that round.

Huggins who ranks 12th all-time in DI win, has been coaching for over 30 plus seasons and has been leading West Virginia since 2007. This is the sixth time Huggins has earned this honor.
