Reasoning: This is the quintessential Mountaineers uniform combination. WVU fans of all ages appreciate the standard blue-blue-gold configuration that has been a staple of West Virginia football since 1980.
The gold pants in the current uniform system are not my favorite, but this classic look is one that cannot be ignored. Some may view this as a boring combination, but to me, the history behind this combination is what makes it so special.
But to me, even with all the history, is not the best Mountaineers uniform combination…
