Smith attends Archbishop Wood Catholic (Warminster, Pa.), and is listed as a 6’1″, 176lb safety, and listed a 3 star by rivals.com.
He visited Morgantown twice over the spring, and attended the Gold-Blue Game. Smith is impressed with the Mountaineers 3-3-5 defense. His lead recruiters are Steve Dunlap and Bill Kirelawich.
Smith had offers from Michigan State, Toledo, South Carolina, Temple, and West Virginia.
Nate Smith becomes the 19th commit to the 2012 recruiting class.
