Pat White no longer pursuing baseball

A story in Metronews put out today says that Pat White is “no longer pursuing baseball.”
"After spending a few months in the Royals’ minor league system, former Mountaineer quarterback Pat White has decided to leave Kansas City’s organization and has ended his pursuit of a career in baseball.Royal’s Director of Minor League Operations Scott Sharp has informed MetroNews that the NCAA all-time leader in rushing yards by a quarterback is completely done with baseball.“His agent informed us, however, that he has decided to no longer pursue baseball,” said Sharp through an Email.Sharp also informed MetroNews that White left the Royals back at the beginning of January."
Wow. First, he literally gets knocked out of the NFL (thanks for nothing, Ike Taylor), then cut by the Miami Dolphins (despite Ricky Williams’ endorsement). Now, he has decided to stop pursuing a baseball career.
This guy was the best player (in a long time, since Major Harris in my opinion) to wear the Old Gold and Blue and now, he’s a man without a sport or a team.
My recommendation? Tell his agent to put in a call to the CFL. Another former Mountaineer known as Avon Cobourne seems to be doing pretty well up there… 2 Grey Cups with the Montreal Allouettes, 1 Grey Cup MVP, and was a coveted free agent when Montreal (stupidly) didn’t re-sign him. Oh well, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed him.
Again, Pat White should look to the CFL.
