Former WVU receiver on Pros vs. Joes

Yes, I know I said this blog was going on a hiatus. But, that pretty much means that I have an excuse for not posting while I get some of my normal life together.

Nevertheless, I have something for the HailWV.com faithful. Former WVU WR Dorrell Jalloh is going to be on Spike TV’s “Pros vs. Joes.” He’s a “Joe.” From an article I found

"Chase Weber has been working behind the scenes of some of the nation’s biggest televised sporting events for the past few years, first with ESPN and now with Fox Sports. The former CSU football player, in fact, was in the National League dugout during Tuesday night’s All-Star Game in Anaheim, Calif., and even chatted with CNN talk-show host Larry King on the field before the game while King’s 10-year-old son was interviewing New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez for his new “Kid Pitch” show on Fox.But Weber, 25, was on the other side of the cameras recently, playing the game he loves against the likes of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick and former NFL players LaVar Arrington and Isaac Bruce. Weber, a defensive back at Colorado State University from 2004-06, was one of the Joes selected to play 3-on-3 football against the professionals in Spike TV’s “Pros vs. Joes” in an episode that will first air at 8 p.m. MDT July 28.“It was really intimidating at first, but my mentality is I’m never going to be scared by anybody, so I just went full speed on everything,” Weber said in a phone interview earlier this week. “Once we were in the pads, I was ready to rock.”Weber, 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, wears the No. 3 blue jersey in the episode, which was filmed at a Los Angeles community college. The other “Joes” on his team are former West Virginia receiver Dorrell Jalloh and Eric Hooks, a quarterback who led St. Francis (Ind.) to the 2006 NAIA title game and later played in a low-level professional indoor league."

So, if you get a chance, tune in to Spike TV on July 28th at 10pm to see Jalloh on Pros vs. Joes. I’ve always been a fan of that show… should be good. The pros will be Michael Vick, LaVar Arrington, and Issac Bruce.
