The biggest story in regards to WVU athletics this year was obviously the move from the Big East to the Big 12. Indeed, the grass is greener on the other side, but no team other than Women’s Soccer has really made the full transition to the much higher competition level within this conference.

The football season began amid extremely high expectations, many of which proved to be very far reaching. I anticipated growing pains and such a trend will most likely continue for at least another season across the board for WVU athletics; however, it will not be in vain.

The many benefits such as new affiliations with better research institutions and higher revenues will only prove that this move was for the best in the long run. Just remain patient folks, things WILL turn around.
