West Virginia Picks Up Another 4-Star Linebacker Prospect

In a little bit of good news for the future of the defense, the Mountaineers coaching staff picked up a big verbal commitment from Al-Rasheed Benton.

The 4-star linebacking prospect (according to ESPN.com) from Newark, NJ joins a stacked 2013 recruiting class for the Mountaineers that already features 5 other linebacking prospects.

Benton also had offers from Arizona State, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Maryland, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, Temple, and Toledo.

This kid looks like a beast, as evidenced by his highlight film on Youtube.com. Hopefully this kid makes it official this spring and finds his way to Morgantown in the Fall. He would look good in the old gold and blue.
