West Virginia To Add Miami Transfer Davis

The Miami Herald is reporting that University of Miami defensive back Vernon Davis will transfer to West Virginia. Davis, a true freshman, was not projected to make the Hurricanes depth chart this season and would likely be given a redshirt. Davis originally picked the Hurricanes over the Mountaineers this past season.

The Davis pick up will give West Virginia a talented defensive prospect for the 2013 season. Davis will be in a good position to compete for one of the starting cornerback positions next year after Pat Miller graduates.
