So, the wise minds at ESPN decided to put a Big East game–wait a minute, put TWO Big East games on at the same time tonight on their dysfunctional family of networks. WVU visits Syracuse at the Dome, kickoff is 8pm on ESPN. Meanwhile, on ESPN2, Rutgers travels to Louisville. That game will kickoff at 8pm as well.
But, the battle of Slutgers and Loserville is not important to this site. The game on ESPN is more important, as WVU looks to avenge last year’s loss to Syracuse. Mind you, this was at Homecoming last year.

While Doug Marrone is arguably the 2nd best coach in the Big East, and has Syracuse on the way up, the Orange offense just won’t be able to hang with Geno and company. 55-17

WVU rolls into the Dome Friday night to face the Orange of Syracuse. The Mountaineers look to avenge last year’s loss at home. Give Syracuse credit, they threw different looks at Geno and it seemed to confuse him at times. SU still rolls with a pro style offense that gets bits and pieces at a time, and most of the offense returns. Will it be enough to shock the #11 team in the nation?
Not on this night. The offensive line continues to improve, the run game is rolling, and Geno is Geno. Look for big plays early and often.

Last year’s win for Syracuse was the beginning of things to come for the former Head Coach, as WVU also lost to UConn next as well. But, things have changed since then. WVU has an offense that doesn’t stink (although it takes a little longer to get revved up), and has an O-Line that is considerably better.
Time to send the latest one of two ACC defectors out of the Big East with a foot in their asses.
