It’s been made official, folks.
Today, the ACC Council of Presidents vote unanimously to accept Pittsburgh and Syracuse as members #13 and #14 into the ACC.
More after the break. This info comes from our friends at College Football Talk.
Wrapping up what’s been a whirlwind past 36 hours, the ACC announced Sunday morning in a press release that the conference’s Council of Presidents (COP) has unanimously voted to accept Pittsburgh and Syracuse as new members. The invitation followed the submission of letters of application from both universities within the past two days.
The ACC, which has officially poached the Big East for the second time in a decade, now stands at 14 members, although this could be their first shot in a move to a 16-team superconference.
Unbelievable. The worthless Big East Commissioner known as John Marinatto did nothing after getting TCU. After the Horned Frogs accepted an invite to join the Big East, he just sat on his fat ass nixing a TV deal with ESPN and saying, “Everything’s fine.”
Marinatto has no vision, no leadership and no balls. He should be removed from his post as Big East Commissioner immediately. Bring on a smart sports mind like Dr. Harvey Schiller to help the Big East conference. Instead, the Big East is ruled by the Northeastern Catholic Basketball School Syndicate. Them, along with all the other basketball schools, pretty much put the kibosh on further expansion. I say it’s time to tell these basketball schools like DePaul, Marquette, etc to piss off! Send those clowns back to C-USA.
Sad, sad day for College Football. This realignment is ruining tradition as we know it. What a crying shame this is. The Big East, once known as a premier conference, could be on the verge of extinction.
Oliver Luck, keep your cell phone turned on, please.
