Norfolk State Preview

OK, I’m going to be the first to admit, I didn’t put a whole lot of research into this week’s game preview… after all, it is Norfolk State, and we should easily stomp them. This would be the game to get all the offensive kinks works out before we hit the road against Maryland and then hosting LSU. Norfolk State is nothing more than a tune-up game… kick the living sh*t outta them, get the players’ confidence up heading into Ghetto College Park, MD.

Anyway, after the jump is what the staff thinks will happen on Saturday.

The Sports Dude’s prediction-

WVU – 52

Norfolk State – 16

Geno throws for 350+ and 4 TDs.

Here’s what The Deuce has to say…

Norfolk State comes to MPS this weekend after coming off a 37-3 win last Saturday against Virginia State. Quarterback Chris Walley completed 25 of 29 passes for 255 yards and two touchdowns, and rolled up 438 yards of offense. NSU also ran for 178 on the ground. The Spartan defense held Virginia State to 161 yards of offense.

This game falls perfect for the Mountaineer coaching staff, and allows them to look over game film and tweek certain areas. Fans should have time to grab a beer or two for this one, and back ups should get mop up time in the 4th.

WVU 52  Norfork State 10

Finally, here’s my take…

WVU- 52, Norfolk State- 13

Honestly, what am I supposed to say? I think The Deuce has it covered.
