Just like the Conference picks and the Big East picks, the staff got together for one more pick session in the preseason, picking who goes to the BCS. After the jump is all the fun.
This one had somewhat of unanimous consent on who one of the Orange Bowl representatives would be…
West Virginia vs. Florida State (2 votes), West Virginia vs. Virginia Tech, and West Virginia vs. Notre Dame
Winner (unanimous decision): West Virginia
2 votes for Wisconsin vs. Stanford, and 2 votes for Nebraska vs. Oregon
Winner: 2 votes for Stanford, and 2 votes for Oregon. Either way, the Pac 12 claims the Rose Bowl.
This one had the Big 12 champ in it 3 times (Oklahoma with 2 votes, and OK State with 2 votes) and Nebraska as an at-large. All of them were taking on an at-large team.
Ballot 1: Oklahoma vs. TCU (Winner: TCU)
Ballot 2: Oklahoma State vs. Boise State (Winner: Boise State)
Ballot 3: Nebraska vs. Boise State (Winner: Boise State)
Ballot 4: Oklahoma vs. Notre Dame (Winner: Oklahoma)
So, it’s looking very likely that a non-AQ team will win the Fiesta Bowl this year against a Big 12 team.
The Sugar Bowl is another one that could have a big non-AQ team playing against (most likely) an SEC at-large team.
Ballot 1: South Carolina vs. Boise State (Winner: South Carolina)
Ballot 2: Mississippi State vs. BYU (Winner: BYU)
Ballot 3: South Carolina vs. Oregon (Winner: South Carolina)
Ballot 4: LSU vs. Boise State (Winner: Boise State)
BCS Championship Game
All 4 ballots have an SEC team.
Ballot 1: Alabama vs. Nebraska (Winner: Alabama)
Ballot 2: Florida State vs. South Carolina (Winner: South Carolina)
Ballot 3: LSU vs. Oklahoma (Winner: LSU)
Ballot 4: Alabama vs. Wisconsin (Winner: Alabama)
Looking like ANOTHER banner year for the SEC in the BCS.
