I came up with this idea about two years ago, and it honestly has not caught steam (although I can see why.)
See, in the past few years, Marshall U and Huntington has been nothing but a pain for the state of West Virginia, with being the #1 obese city in America, coupling that with the ever-annoying Jamie Oliver bringing TV cameras into Huntington so he can help those people stop being fat humps; along with this ridiculous “Coal Bowl” series… not to mention the filthiness of Huntington that goes along with the crime rate. I have proposed the PERFECT solution after the jump…
That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, Give Huntington to Kentucky!
See, since the citizens of Huntington and the people of Marshall has absolutely zero respect for the state of West Virginia with their high obesity and crime rates, we figure the best solution is to let the Commonwealth of Kentucky deal with this problem. Plus, I believe all of Marshall’s fans, students, alumni, etc would feel right at home. Plus, they could try to establish “rivalries” with the University of Kentucky and University of Louisville the way they attempted to make the Coal Bowl a rivalry.
Now, how are we going to make our voices heard? Easy, a PETITION!

First order of business is to give all Huntington residents new license plates, in case the actual citizens of Kentucky are looking for someone to blame when they notice a sudden increase in their state’s crime rate…
