I’m sure a lot of my readers watch The Late Show with David Letterman… personally, I prefer Conan O’Brien, but I gotta wait ’til November for him to legally be allowed to be funny on TV. Anyway, I watch Letterman some, and quite particularly enjoy his “Top 10″ lists. In the spirit of “Hate Marshall” week, I’ve decided to compile a Top 10 list of my own….
Top 10 reasons why WVU should NOT play Marshall! (After the jump.)

9) October 3, 1914; WVU- 20, MU- 0
8 ) November 6, 1915; WVU- 92, MU- 6 (Insert joke here about the other team not showing up)
7) October 20, 1923; WVU- 81, MU- 0 (Now THAT’S what I call a shutout!)
6) October 30, 1997; WVU- 42, MU- 31 (I think this was the game where Marshall had Chad Pennington AND Randy Moss)
5) September 2, 2006; WVU- 42, MU- 10 (My first game as a WVU student)
4) September 8, 2007; WVU- 48, MU- 23 (First time WVU goes to Joan C. Edwards Stadium)
3) September 27, 2008; WVU- 27, MU- 3

And, finally, the #1 reason why WVU should not play Marshall…
1) Because Joe Manchin has his smudgy fingerprints all over this game; it’s NOT a rivalry! Manchin only orchestrated this game so he could lock up the Huntington-area vote! The fat humps in Huntington only looks at this game as a rivalry because of their blind hatred for WVU, whereas WVU has bigger fish to fry (such as actually making a BCS game). To Oliver Luck: KILL THIS SERIES IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE CONTRACT EXPIRES!
