Let the conference shuffling begin!

So, today was a day I had to do actual errands; therefore, I couldn’t sit on my computer all day and keep an eye out for news. Blame the rain. Anyway…

*Boise State leaves WAC for MWC, effective July 1, 2011. 1/1 on my “scenario sheet.” Brings the MWC up to 10 members. Sorry guys, GOTTA HAVE TWO MORE FOR THAT LOFTY CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!

*Colorado leaves Big 12 for Pac-10. 2/2 on my UPDATED “scenario sheet.” Reports also say that Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State plan to join Colorado soon in the NEW Pac-10. Baylor’s already plotting to slash the Pac 10’s tires.

*Finally, Nebraska is approved to leave the Big 12 for the Big 10. Congratulations, Big 10, you have two of the most boring states in the nation under your banner (Iowa and Nebraska. Seriously, don’t EVER drive through those states to get to Colorado like I did.)

I have just one question to ask Nebraska, Colorado, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State: What’d the Big 12 do to you guys?? Seriously, some of the best college football I’ve seen rests in the Big 12. For some reason, I always thought that was a “rough and tumble” conference. Of course, with Colorado coming to the Pac-10, California and Oregon no longer have a stranglehold on biggest stoners.
